National Honor Society
I‘ve lived my life following the National Honor Society conduct and its rules. For example, in the field of leadership I was the advisory council representative in my ninth grade advisory. I would like to join the National Honor Society to participate in helping to make my community better. Hurricane Sandy destroyed many peoples’ homes, one of my close friends Abid Yazdani’s home was destroyed and I volunteered to go help and clean his apartment. I believe I should join the National Honor Society because I believe I could contribute to the society. My advisees’ and I went last year to a public school to read a children’s book that I made with a couple of my advisees’ about morals in life. I have exceled in the fields of leadership, character, service and citizenship. Leadership is the position or function of a leader and a person who guides or directs a group. Character is the overall of features and traits that form the individual nature of a person or a thing. Service is an act of helpful activity and aid. Citizenship is behavior in the terms of the duties, obligations and functions of a citizen. I believe that I have exceled in the field of leadership. Leadership is the position or function of a leader and a person who guides or directs a group. My advisory voted anonymously for an advisory leader in ninth grade, and I became my advisory representative by getting the most votes. As the advisory representative I attended meetings and helped organize and plan for advisory. Another example for leadership is in the summer I was the head counselor for Fun in the Sun Summer Camp. My responsibilities as the head counselor was to make sure all counselors were doing everything they were supposed to do, and to run counselor meetings and I had my own group of kids to watch after. The final example of leadership is babysitting my mom’s close friend Marina Dubin’s son. My duties’ for being his babysitter was to watch and take care of him while he was awake and asleep. I

Society often dictates that men are incapable of establishing meaningful relationships or that college men are not focused enough to make a difference. This is far from the truth. An organization such as Phi Beta Sigma proves that men can form relationships that are meaningful, productive and invigorating.…

Leadership… I always try my best to obtain as many leadership positions as possible, of course, with the assurance that I can handle them all. I can always be critical and say it's pretty obvious I have leadership qualities just because I'm class president, but as a leader I try not to think of it as just a title. A leader should be one that is more constructive and less critical. A critical person may think there has got to be a better way to do something, but a constructive person knows what that "Better way" might be. A leader can best be described as, responsible, successful, and resourceful. When it comes to showing good leadership I think I can truly live up to it, because of the positions I uphold.…
