The Most Important Event in My Life

The most important event that had taken place in my life was when my family moved to India. I was forced to take an opportunity that would forever change the course of my life. I did not know what to expect traveling to my parent's home country and living there. Reluctantly, my brother, sister and I had no choice but to go to India. At that time, I felt like my parents had become my sworn nemesis’, forcing us to go to school there for three years.
My dad had gotten a job transfer to India, and we; as in my siblings and I, were not looking forward to it. We thought we would never get used to living in India, as it was so much different compared to living in Texas. The sun would blaze over head by 7am, and the weather was incredibly hot and humid. It seemed as if all the houses were infested by mosquitoes and other pests, especially lizards! Our parents enrolled us into an International school in India which was adjacent to our house. In the school, there are innumerable foreigners who were from different countries such as England, Australia, Italy, Switzerland, etc. I thought that was incredibly amazing, because I can tell anyone who asks me about India, that I had friends from so many different countries in the world! I had to stay at the school in a dorm with other school girls, and it turned out to be really fun! We had a routine schedule every day, and were obliged to follow it. The dorm life experience in India was indeed and amazing and truly life-changing experience! I learned the way of life in India, and caught a glimpse of a staggering large and different culture.
Whenever we had vacation, our family would go on trips to visit all the different parts of India. We took a group tour with other families to the northern part of India by bus.
