I play many games. They include both outdoor and indoor games. I also like to play cricket, table tennis and volleyball. But badminton is my favourite game. It is a fascinating game.

It is played between two parties. Each party may have one or two players. They stand opposite to one another.

In between there is a net spread wide. It is played with rackets and a shuttle-cock. The shuttle-cock is made of crock and feathers.

Badminton is a game of skill. A badminton player should have strong hands and legs. He should be very agile. He should be able to run quickly, jump and hop instantly.

I am a good player of badminton. I enjoy it very much. I am Captain of our school Junior Badminton Team.

I go to the stadium for practice daily. I hope to play for my country someday. On holidays I enjoy it at home with my brother and sister. I shall continue to play it all my life.

Snakes and Ladders is a game that has enthralled generations of children and often their parents too! It is easy to play and a lot of fun. If you've lost the rules or you've made your own Snakes and Ladders board, here's a refresher of its simple rules. Understand the goal of the game. The aim of the game is to be the first player to reach the end by moving across the board from square 1 to square 100. You will travel the board from base to top, right, then left and so on. Commence playing. The first player to roll 1 can enter the board (sometimes it is 6). Each subsequent player must also throw a 1 (or 6) to enter the board. The dice must be rolled again to show the number of squares that the player entering the board may move initially. Place the marker on the appropriate square. Each player may only roll once. Continue playing. You each take a go. The person with the highest amount starts first. The person with the second highest goes 2nd and so on. BUT DO NOT MOVE THE COUNTER. Complete the game. The first player to square 100 is the winner but you must have the correct number on the dice to land on the 100 mark. • It is easy to make your own Snakes and Ladders game. Draw up a page of 100 equal squares that will be large enough for a small marker (a penny or small coin makes an ideal marker). Draw about 6 ladders and six snakes at various points on the board that lead between different squares. Always place a snake's tail where you want a player to slide downwards (one near the end is always a good idea). Look at an existing game of Snakes and Ladders online to get the idea. When you reach the top start to roll the dice on the number you need. • One variant that can be added is that of removing opponents. This happens when landing on a square that is already occupied by another player's marker. The player already on the square is moved back to the beginning and must throw a 6 to re-enter the game.
