My sisters wedding
In October of 2013, I had the pleasure of meeting my sister, Jamie, for the first time. Jamie is four years younger than I am and we share the same biological father, Ben. Our Grandmother brought us together, she planned a day for my family and my sister to meet at Sea World. Jamie and I were very similar, we had the same nose and smile, and we resembled our biological father, who we both have only met a few times in our lives. It was a terrific day, and when it was over and before it was time for us to return home, my sister invited me to her wedding. This essay is about her wedding. I arrived at the Baltimore Airport on a warm but breezy late Friday afternoon. The airport was very busy, all of the people scurrying around, looking for flights, bags, and loved ones. I found a cab and proceeded to my hotel. The cab driver was very quiet, he hardly spoke a word, only asking for the address. Baltimore is very different from Florida in almost every aspect. The highways are always much busier, and the curves of the roads make it hard to keep up with if you don’t know where you are going.
The view was the cab window was joyous, all of the trees, all of the hills, I was feeling excited. We arrived at my hotel, I checked in and found my room. Room #513; it was on the fifth floor and had a wonderful view of a big park, one king size bed with a fluffy bright comforter, and a bathroom with a huge soaker tub. I was happy. My cell phone rang; it was my Grandmother asking how my flight and my room were.
We talked for a while, and she let the rest of the family know I landed safely. The loud ticking clock on the wall reminded me that it was getting late. I said goodbye to my Grandmother and went to find that amazing tub. The hotel room phone startled me with its very sharp and shrill ring; it was my wake-up call.
Today was brunch with the family and then the wedding, both at a romantic Bed and Breakfast in the woods. I arrived right on

It was back on August 24, 1995 at 9; 07 am when I brought into this world by Maria White-Dumas and Stanley. Their first born child then a minute later my twin popped out. Since that day I have been here in Atlanta, GA where I reside at 1978 Phillips Drive. There on my parents have made two additions to our family; my 15 year old brother Jahmal and my 12 year old brother Chris. I can honestly say my family is the greatest thing in the world. My mom is a Purchasing Agent for United Distributors, and my dad is an ISS teacher at King Middle School and South Atlanta High School’s Head Baseball and Softball coach. And with a family of all boys and crazy different personalities I have much respect for my parents for continuing to love us and put up with us. Then you have to move on……

First, I must give credit to my dear and elderly grandmother-in-law and her low tolerance to a single glass of wine for my introduction to Jane. During a holiday dinner in 2002, I learned that my newly wedded husband was the father of a boy placed for adoption at birth. Following what I consider a justified emotional outburst to that enlightening news, I became determined to locate this child and his adoptive family. I was about to give birth to my own child, a boy, and now overwhelmed with the idea of robbing my flesh and blood of the opportunity to know the existence of his biological brother. Luckily, there was enough wine left over that evening to offer Grandma her second glass at which time she easily revealed that the mother of my child’s sibling was Jane.…

We arrived in Los Angeles, California. The hotel we stayed in was one of the best hotels I've ever been in. This hotel was so big and fancy, and the weight room that was there was bigger than the fitness center back home. This hotel also had two pools. The outdoor pool looked really beautiful, because it had a giant water fall leading into the pool, but it was closed down while we were was staying there, so I just used the normal everyday hotel pool, which was indoors. It was very incredible to see something like this on how beautiful a single hotel could be, and look.…

Arriving safely in Florida felt amazing. My mom had told me my aunt and uncle would be waiting to pick me up and drive me to their house. They had a guest bedroom waiting to be my room for the whole summer. I said bye to my new friend Jaden and got off the plane. I made sure I had all of my luggage and that nothing has been removed. I walked to where my aunt and uncle said they would meet me. I was new to this airport so it was hard for me to find where anything was. I eventually ended up finding them of course, but I had to ask several people for…
