On behalf of the people of the State of New York, and everyone connected that you have given us throughout this trial. We also thank you for your attention to this case. In a short while, when the closing arguments are over, you will return to the chambers and begin deliberations. We ask that you consider the facts and the evidence in reaching the verdict in this case. Jordan Stone is being charged with 3 things. 2nd degree assault, 2nd degree burglary, and 1st degree attempted robbery. She is being charged with these crimes because on the morning of December 10th, 2010 Jordan stone assaulted Payton Miller and attempted to take stuff from her dorm. Jordan Stone attempted burglary and in the process she assaulted my client Payton Miller and in that process Payton scratched her attacker on her arm, which you can see on Jordan Stone before you. Jordan Stone and Sydney Samuels( Payton Miller’s roommate) had a little altercation in the past which may have led the defendant to commit the crime that she did. This rivalry was because Sydney Samuels caught the defendant with her boyfriend. At the beginning of the case, during the opening statement, we said that the evidence would show that the defendant, Jordan Stone, is guilty on 3 different charges. What evidence proves her guilt? The scratch on the defendants arm also proves that Jordan Stone was indeed at the crime scene at the time the crime was being committed. Due to accurate information from our witnesses we found out that Payton Miller scratched her attacker on the arm. At the crime scene a Knicks keychain was found linking the defendant to the crime. Sydney Samuels recognizes the keychain from when they were once best friends. Sydney Samuels and Payton Miller both gave a very accurate description of the defendant. We also found Orange and blue Knicks jacket and the blue jeans worn at the time the crime was being committed. We also know that Jordan Stone

Some of the key arguments that were presented by the plaintiffs were to show that Simpson wore very expensive shoes and they supplied 39 photos of those same shoes which matched footprints from the murder scene. They also made O.J. Simpson take the stand which he didn’t in the criminal case. The attorneys for the plaintiff’s also noted that Simpson admitted to being very upset with Nicole about the way she was flirting with other men around his children. Some of the key arguments that were presented by the defense are that it raised doubts about the 39 photographs of Simpson wearing Bruno Magli shoes eight months before the slayings. The defense said a person "can fake a photograph" if that person has enough motive. The main key argument addressed was emphasized that some of Simpson 's evidence sample could have been planted on a gate at Nicole Brown Simpson 's condominium and on samples in the police crime lab. He said Ms. Simpson 's blood, taken at autopsy, could have been…

This case in Fenton, Missouri involves 17 yrs. old Christopher Simmons born in 1993. Charles Benjamin and John Tessmer were Christopher Simmons friends and accomplices. Christopher Simmons planned and committed a capital murder along with Charles Benjamin. The plan was to commit burglary and murder by breaking and entering, tying up Shirley Crook, and tossing her off a bridge. The three boys met at 2am in the morning however, Tessmer then dropped out of the plan. Simmons and Benjamin broke into Mrs. Crook's home, bound her hands and covered her eyes. They put Mrs. Crook in a minivan drove her to a state park and threw her off a bridge. Once the case was brought to trial court, the evidence was solid and overwhelming. Simmons had confessed to the murder, performed a videotaped reenactment at the crime scene, and there was testimony from John Tessmer against him that showed premeditation. After the crime Christopher discussed the plot in advance and later bragged about the crime. After 2 hours of investigation Christopher broke down and confessed. At trial the State introduced Simmons confession and the videotaped reenactment of the crime, along with testimony that Simmons discussed the crime in advance and him bragging to fellow classmates about it later. The defense called no witnesses due to the evidence and confession. The jury having returned a verdict of murder, the trial proceeded to the penalty phase. The jury returned a guilty verdict. The jury recommended a death sentence in which the trial court imposed despite Christopher not having a criminal background. The State charged Simmons with burglary, kidnaping, stealing, and murder in the first degree. Simmons was 17 at the time of the crime. He was outside the criminal jurisdiction of Missouri’s juvenile court system. Charles Benjamin and was…

It was a peaceful Saturday morning in April. Just last spring. In Shamrock University Law School 's classroom building. Our hallways were quiet and our classrooms were almost empty. And then, in a student courtroom, something happened that astonished everyone. The plaintiff, Judge John Birdsong, pointed a .357 magnum pistol near his leg, pulled the trigger, not once, but, twice, to see if the gun was loaded, and shot himself in the left leg. He now comes before you, asking for an award of money against Shamrock for the injuries that he inflicted by his own hand.…

Good evening Your Honor, ladies and gentlemen of the jury, and opposing counsel. Tonight you heard the testimony and evidence in Roughed Grouse High School's attempt to hide, justify, and deny their negligent actions. In order to prove Roughed Grouse High School's negligence resulting in the death of Jordan Simon, I, along with my co-counsel, had to prove our case, not beyond a reasonable doubt, but simply by a preponderance of evidence. In other words, if you were to put the evidence favoring the case of the plaintiff and evidence favorable to the defendant on a scale, we the plaintiff would have to make the scales tip ever so slightly in our favor. Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, we have done just that. We have proved to you tonight by a preponderance of evidence, not that the defendant was solely responsible for the unfortunate and untimely death of Jordan Simon, but that those representing Roughed Grouse High School were more negligent above all others involved.…
