My Neighborhood
Every neighborhood is superior for every person. For example, I live at the South side of Chicago; I feel proud to stay in my neighborhood. I saw so many neighborhoods, but I find my neighborhood is better than others. First of all, my neighborhood is cleaner than other neighborhoods. For example, I went to my cousin’s neighborhood in the North side of Chicago, and I saw their neighborhood is a lot dirtier than my neighborhood. Garbage is spread all over the road. Neighbors live near us, and their behavior influences our daily life. Good neighbors can make us feel comfortable and give us much help, and everyone will benefit from a good relationship among neighbors. One of the most important characteristics of good neighbors is that they have a good living habits and are friendly to others. A person with bad habit will affect your daily life. Being friendly is also an important nature of good neighbors. If neighbors are unfriendly, they are hard to approach and difficult to get along with. The worst thing about my neighborhood is the gang violence. Street gangs are an organization of young people that are usually in their teens and twenties. They join together and claim a territory, such as our neighborhood, as their own. They are known for being violent. On the streets, graffiti is the means to communicate territorial limits and to challenge other gangs. My neighborhood has improved a lot over the years from gang violence. The gangs will tag around my neighborhood just to be known. I don’t appreciate how they make my neighborhood look extremely bad. As time goes by, the gangs will no longer give us a problem.
