Life isn’t just measured in the years a person lives for; Life is looked upon as to what an individual commits to his/her life. Whether there are ups and downs, good and bad times, or success stories or failures to bear, a person’s life says it all. Oftentimes, we have come across such amazing stories, as in life tales, of people whom we consider role models or people that have a huge impact on our society. In my life I have been through a lot. I didn’t always accomplish what I wanted to but I never gave up. I have always aimed for excellence with the help of my family and friends. Growing up wasn’t as easy as I thought but I have learned a lot through my mistakes. I have always placed a great importance in education. I was born in Pakistan on September 19, 1991 and moved to the United States in October 2008. I currently attend Yuba Community College in an effort to obtain my degree in Pharmacy. I live with my one brother and parents. My life so far is comprised of a wonderful family, great friends, and a sincere to my family, education and work. At the age of seventeen when I moved to the United States I began to realize the importance of an education and by the time I was nineteen I have enrolled into Yuba Community College . I found out quickly that a minimum wage job was not going to get me through college so I started looking for a part time job, with the help of my family. I really love my family a lot and am grateful for what they have done for me. I always try to keep my family happy because their happiness is my happiness. It was their job to encourage me but it has been my responsibility to make the decisions and choose the right path. Throughout my life I didn’t participate in many activities in school or at home. I was always an outgoing person but didn’t get involved in activities. I was a shy person around most people and didn’t talk much but throughout my life I have changed a lot. I have learned to communicate with the people around me and get involved in different activities. Since I moved to the United States I didn’t participate in many activities because I didn’t have much experience in any one sport but during my childhood I sometimes participated in one sport only which has always been my favorite. I was a great help to my team in the activities I participated because I took so much interest in it. The one sport I have always been interested in is Cricket. No matter how busy I am in life I can always take out time for this sport. We won many trophies and I really enjoying playing with my wonderful, great, and hardworking team. I really miss my team because when I was with them, it was a time to enjoy and have fun with others around the city. Even today when I get bored I get together with some of my friends in one of the school’s in Yuba City and we play together. I can never go away from this sport. It has been my favorite since childhood and has always enjoyed playing it. Getting together with my buddies and playing cricket is my favorite hobby of all times especially when I am bored. I myself have always set goals for myself. Planning my future and setting my goals has always been one of my main focuses. It makes my life a lot easier when I set my own and personal goals. Even today I have set many goals for my future. Some of my main goals for the future are increasing my GPA, gain relevant experience in the career field I am interested in, understand my strengths and weaknesses, apply for scholarship and volunteer. These are the five main goals I have set for my future. To increase my GPA I stay after class if I need help, spend more time studying, and ensure that I eat healthy, exercise, and get enough sleep so I can concentrate. To gain relevant experience in the career field I am interested in I have begun to network and conduct informational interviews with several people working in the same career as me and I try to find my internship. I spend a lot of my...
