My name is Yasmin binti Zainal Abidin. Currently I am a student in Universiti Selangor (UNISEL) which is one of the private institutions in Selangor.I am now in the first semester doing Foundation in Management. At this very moment, I am writing an essay about ‘MY LIFE’. It is an assignment for the Computer Applications subject given by my lecturer, Mr. Izwan Suhadak.
My life started when I was born on 22nd October 1993 at about 6pm.I was born in Subang Jaya Medical Centre. I was given a name, Yasmin which means Jasmine; a flower. It is because, my mother; Wan Noraidah binti Wan Tahar loves Jasmine so much. She feels that the flower can make her feel calm and peaceful. Besides, most of Jasmine is white in colour, which is my mother’s favourite colour. During the nine months period in my mother’s womb, I was hoping and waiting for the special day; the day I was born to see the beauty of the world. My mother told me, the moment when she gave birth to me, I was crying out loud until I was in my mother cuddle.
After that, I was given to my father; Zainal Abidin bin Sabran, to wisper ‘iqamah’ to my ears. The moment I listened to the nice and meaningful words, I knew that the difference between me and another babies is my religion. I am a Muslim and I am so proud to be a Muslim and InsyaAllah I hope to truly follow the Al-Quran and Hadis.
I have a happy family and feel very lucky because I have a mother, father, and brother and sister who are so beautiful and handsome. They are very kind to me and provide me with the happiness. My sister’s name is Shafiqa (she is also in UNISEL) and my brother’s name is Muhammad Hariz. My father works as a Senior Vice President in one of famous Government Linked Companies (GLC), which is Celcom Axiata. He has been working in Celcom since before I was born. My mother was a IT consultant in one computer company. Now, she is a full-time housewife. I am the youngest in my family.
alking about hobbies, all of us have different interests. I love music very much. I feel that music is my soul and I cannot live with out it. I also like to play sports, but not my sister. There are many things that I dislike; but the ones I dislike are noises and crowds. It is because noises disturb me greatly. This is why I hate to live in a city. While crowds make movement difficult especially when I was in shopping mall.
Back to my story, as time passes by, I start to learn how everything around me works. My mother always spent time with me to teach me how to walk, how to read and other else. My mother told me that when I was a little kid, I cried a lot. Sometimes she felt very tired and did not know what to do to make me silent. Until one day, she realized that she needs a baby sitter to help her. The baby sitter’s name is Sarah. She took a good care of me for so many years until I was five. It is because, when I was five, my mother sent me to a kindergarten; Tadika First Step located in Bandar Tun Hussein Onn,Cheras. During the two years I was there, there were so many bittersweet moments that happened in my life such as, I had so many friends around me that always made me feel happy when playing together. Besides that, during my kindergarten years I joined traditional dance for a convocation day.
During that day, I got an award for my excellent result in examination. I felt so proud with my effort and myself for being a good daughter to my parents. After two years I was in the kindergarten, finally I continued my life as a student at a primary school, Sekolah Kebangsaan Bandar Tun Hussein Onn in Cheras. Two months before I entered the school, I was excited and my new year resolution was to study hard and to be smart and to come out as a top student in the school. My mother always gave me some advice, “Meen, don’t forget to study hard”
“Be a nice girl and finish all the home works”
With the trust on me and to make sure that I would study hard, she bought me so many things that I needed when I...
