My Hometown
Chongqing born and Chongqing bred, I’ve always regarded this beautiful city as my sweet home. Though it’s not so famous as Beijing or Shanghai, Chongqing is still worth your attention. Located in the southwest of China near Sichuan, Chongqing serves as “ the largest and most populous of the People's Republic of China's four provincial-level municipalities, and the only one in the less densely populated western region of China"1.Therefore, it becomes one of the 4 Chinese cities identified on the world map at the UN General Assembly Hall.     It comes as no surprise that Chongqing is famous for its geographic features. Gifted with towering mountains and roaring rivers, Chongqing possesses the best natural scenery. Firstly, because of the hilly landscape, Chongqing is “the only major metropolitan area in China without significant numbers of bicycles”3, thus actually putting a premium on public transportation. That's why light rail is there. Secondly, it is the night scene that makes travelers hesitate to leave and locals cherish most.
