Well I'm in the second last year of high school so I've got exams coming up soon. I have to study for all of that and maintain my social life what includes after school activities. You probably know what I mean when I say I barely have anytime left to relax, but I still find to play guitar and be in a band.
I have played guitar for 6 years now, and I play almost every day. I also play piano, drums and bass guitar, but I mainly play guitar. The thing I like most about playing guitar is practicing stuff that I can't do yet and being able to actually play what I have practiced after hard work. You really feel great when you have accomplished your goal. I'm now working on my sweep picking, you could google it if you don't know what that is.
I'm in two bands which both have very different styles. I play in a lot of old rock and progressive rock in the first one and a lot of Hillsongs like songs in the second one. It's good who my two bands have very different styles, because you would get tired of playing the same things over and over again.
I have a home studio where I can record my own songs. I sometimes spend hours there just trying new things out and mixing songs that I already have recorded. It's really a lot of fun, but it's a little frustrating when you can't get the recording right for a song. You have to record that special track over and over again. I recorded a rap song with my friends for social science class too in my home studio. That was really fun and we got a pretty good grade.
If you are interested in what I do you could send me an email to Josh.firstname.lastname@example.org. I could maybe send you a sample of a song or something.
All the best, Joshua
