My Greatest Loves of All
Brainstorming:
-------------------------------------------------

-------------------------------------------------
Mom
Point 1: Workmanship * Saw how she worked hard to support family
Point 2: Teaching * Didn’t do verbal teaching, more “watch and learn”
Point 3: Quality Time * Loves spending quality time together; going to movies, out to dinner, just having girl talk
Point 4: * Was supportive of all my decisions, even those that weren’t 100% positive. No matter what, she has my back

-------------------------------------------------

-------------------------------------------------
Dad
Point 1: Workmanship * Was disabled; received social security, but still helped support the family with his checks
Point 2: Teaching * Did more physical teaching because we spent so much time together and I took care of him. I fed him, bathe him, gave him insulin; He taught me how to work and care for him.
Point 3: Quality Time * Loved spending time together. Favorite was thing was taking him on walks while pushing him in his wheelchair.
Point 4: Support * Was stricter than Mom on my decision making

My Greatest Loves of All

Not many people can say that they are as blessed as I feel I am. I’m an adopted child, but God gave me two of the best people in the world as my parents. From triumphs to tragedies they were there. They fought hard in court to keep me because the loved me so much. Though my dad passed very long ago, he left me with so much wisdom. This is why my two greatest loves and biggest role models are my mom and dad. Parents don’t have to be biological to love, teach, and value you as much as mine do. Let’s start with my mom. She is the hardest working woman ever. Standing at only 5 feet even, she does big things. She has always worked so hard to make sure we

Aphra Behn shows us that our conventional idea of love can sometimes be flawed in her poem “On Her Loving Two Equally.” Loving two people simultaneously is possible because we love our parents equally. What this poem says about love might make more sense and seem less strange if we think of other nonromantic kinds of love, like the love we share with our parents. When I look closely at this poem I believe it may mean a lot mean more than just loving two people equally. The differences in how Behn writes about the two men leads me to view her passion as not referring to two equal relationships. Instead of two equal relationships, I believe Behn writes about one stable and normal relationship, and one infuriating kind of relationship.…

Just as we were very attached to each other, he had to leave to California, for work and that was two weeks before my birthday, I was devasted and sad because I thought he wasn't going to spend my birthday with me. I didn't want to let him go, not that i didn't want to be with him all the time but I was five and a half months pregnant with my second and his first child, and had that strong attachment to him. One thing that helped us cope with being so far apart from one another and that was our second baby's first ultrasound appointment. That's when we seen the little bundle of joy for the first time and found out what we were having. Within twenty minutes of the ultrasound the doctor pronounced that we were having a little baby girl. The expression on his face showed complete happiness and seeing that made my life so much better because not every young man expresses such an emotion. After we were finished at the hospital we went home and announced it to everybody. Both of our family were ecstatic and excited to be blessed with another beautiful being.…

He is a little ball of energy and keeps me on my toes. He is a huge Monster Jam fan! I spend the majority of my free time with him. I have a boyfriend that does over the road trucking, which keeps him away for long periods at a time. When he is home, we enjoy spending time together as a family. As if working and being a mom wasn't enough, I am also a student at DesMoines Area Community College. I am currently in my final semester of completing my Marketing Degree. I am thankful to have such a supportive family to help with my busy life. Besides my son, work, and school I enjoy shooting, golf, and I'm a movie buff. I love to travel, but I haven't had much time for that lately. My favorite adventure was being able to swim with dolphins. I am hoping to get back to traveling in the near…

At first we did not get along at all, but he never gave up on me. He was always there making sure I was making the right decisions and teaching me every painful lesson for making the wrong decision. I remember when I was 14 and I sort of ran away, but eventually got hungry and started riding my bike home. I got about half way there and sure enough he pulled up alongside me in the truck and all he said was “I’ll be waiting for you at home boy”. With only about 2 miles left it took me about 1 hour and a half. When I finally got there he knocked me off my bike and started teaching in his own way. This is by far…

Love causes less stress, less heartache, less misunderstandings, less of just about everything negative. Love does reap rewards - happiness, health, joy, peace, and so much more that's positive. Isn't that what we want most for this world of ours? Isn't this a much prettier picture? Remember the portrait? It's not impossible and we can all help to paint it. We can at least try, right? Think about…
