My Not-So-Exciting First Day of Middle School
“Are you excited for the first day of school?” I said to my friend Savanah. She said “I   guess so but I have the butterflies, this summer went by so fast.” I   said   back   to her   in   a   confident voice,   “I   know were   here   for the   first   day   of   middle   school   with   snotty   big   mean   kids.” She chirped back “Ugh   here   we   go!”   We   zoomed             down   to   my   old,   raggedy,   dusty   locker   to   put   my   purse   inside,   so   I   wouldn’t   be   carrying   it   around   all   day. After   my   locker,   we   walked   down   to Savanahs’ locker.   She   unlocked   it   the   first   time, and surprisingly so did I.   The   bell   rang and   I   hurried   to   my   class   with   butterflies   flying   around   in   my   stomach.

I   had to zoom   to   choir   because   it   was   all   the   way   around   the   school,   and   my   reading   teacher from last period   let   us   out... [continues]
