My Not-So-Exciting First Day of Middle School
“Are you excited for the first day of school?” I said to my friend Savanah. She said “I guess so but I have the butterflies, this summer went by so fast.” I said back to her in a confident voice, “I know were here for the first day of middle school with snotty big mean kids.” She chirped back “Ugh here we go!” We zoomed down to my old, raggedy, dusty locker to put my purse inside, so I wouldn’t be carrying it around all day. After my locker, we walked down to Savanahs’ locker. She unlocked it the first time, and surprisingly so did I. The bell rang and I hurried to my class with butterflies flying around in my stomach.
I walked in with everybody looking at me with a glare. My heart pounded as I found a place to sit in the classroom. I felt weird being in school again especially, being in middle school. Finally, the bell rang to start class. We went over the procedures of how to act, and where everything was located. It took us fifty one minutes to go over everything. The bell rang and that’s when I looked at my binder to see what my next class would be, science. I walked in as soon as the bell rang. We did the same as we did in English, except all the procedures were different than my English class. The procedures took up all our class time, so I said goodbye to my science teacher. My next period was reading. Mrs. S handed out papers for our parents to sign. After class we talked about football, surprisingly, since it‘s not a normal topic among 6th grade girls. The bell rang and I scurried to my next class and most anticipated, choir.
