      Abstract
      Information security has a long history that can easily be dated back to the early 1900’s. With the increase in threat every year from attacks and hackers on business systems, information security has taken a center stage in today’s world. In spite of the rising number of security breaches and viruses in recent years, far too many companies have failed to take the appropriate action. To help minimize and neutralize the destructive power of security threats and risks inherent in using the web, users, administrators and organization need to be constantly informed of these threats, by educating them about the sustainability of security.
  Security is everyone’s concern and must be address with all resources to make computer networking a less worrisome with minimum fraud on private and individual users. Companies need to protect their file server, database server, and mail servers especially when engaging in e-commerce. This paper will focus on Pecan Electronics, a Manufacturing company.

  Pecan electronics is owned and operated by a group of Electrical Engineering students who dropped out of college to develop and pursue a dream in manufacturing and producing electronics products. They produce PCB boards used in manufacturing computers, alarm circuits; fiber optic connectors and rack mount uninterrupted power supply (UPS). Although they largely cater to majority of private manufacturing companies, most of their products are sold to counties, State Governments and the Federal Government.
