I Believe…My Mom Is My Best Friend

I believe my mom is my best friend. In my short fifteen years I have come to realize that friends come and go, but my family will forever be by my side. The one person that has always stayed by my side through thick and thin is my mom. No matter what I do or what happens in my life my mom will always love me just the same as before. I know I can always count on my mom for my whole life. She is my very best friend.
Who is that one person you go to when you are having a bad day or hard time? That person is my mom. My mom is the most funny, caring, generous person in the whole wide world. She always knows the right things to say to me when I am upset and she knows exactly what I love. She gives the best advice for me because she has been through what I am going through now as a teenager. Yes I do go to my friends for advice but my mom’s advice is better because of her experiences. My mom always tells me “Your mother is your best friend because she will never hurt or leave you.” Not only does she fulfill motherly duties, she also fulfills the best friend duties as well. She makes me breakfast or she gossips with me. She takes me wherever I want to go or she will tag along and go shopping with me. Many people say that mothers should not be best friends to there children but I disagree with that completely. If she was not there for me or acted like a best friend to me I would be a totally different person then I am today.
Furthermore, my mom is the best thing I have in my life. She will always stick up for me, always give me advice, and she will always be there for me. When I grow up, I want to be the same way to my daughter as she is to me. My mom is my hero, my mo, and my best friend. I love you mom.

Have you ever met someone who totally and completely amazes you? Someone who is just an incredible person and you admire everything they do? I am lucky enough to say that I have met that person. Sometimes I may fight with them, but that is okay because I know that they are there for me through thick and thin. This person I am talking about was there from the beginning and when I say the beginning I mean the very beginning. Even before I was born she was there. She fed me and talked to me. You can only guess my mother by this point, because I mean who else would feed me before birth? She has and always will be my role model. All throughout my childhood I have been closer to my mom than I am to my father. She has been an amazing friend to me, but an even better parental figure. Laying down the rules for me and establishing boundaries when needed. It is because of the love and respect I have for my mother that I am now cautious of the choices I make. I cherish her approval and fear her disappointment in me. I feel confident that all the life lessons she has taught me and the advice she has given me, will continue to shape my standards and values in life.…

My mother is not any ordinary mother. She doesn’t cook most of the time, she’s not the kind of parent that sits down to help you with her homework or even hugs you when your down and I don’t even remember the last time we said I love you to each other. She’s stubborn, hard head, has lots of pride and never admits she’s wrong. But with all of that she is my hero. You see my mother grow up very poor, with ten brothers and sisters living in a studio home. She came from an abusive family who kick her out at the age of 19 teen when they found out she was pregnant. Since then she had bad luck after bad luck but that didn’t keep her down. She took the negative in her life and turned it in to positive. Now she owns three properties and retired at the age of 50. My mother came from nothing and became much more.…

A mother is the person that brings you into this world. When you are an infant, she is the one that makes certain you are always fed, dry, and happy. After a few years, she teaches you how to walk, how to dress yourself, and how to sing your ABC’s. She is the one that pays attention to your favorite snacks and surprises you with them in your lunch box. She is the one waiting at your bus stop with open arms ready to hug you and take you home. She teaches you how to share and most importantly, she teaches you that she is there for you whenever you may need her. My definition of a mother is my mother not only because she did everything I mentioned, but because of all of the valuable lessons she has taught me and the emotional and physical support she has provided for me.…
