Introduction

Im going doing a case study on a case that has happened before in the passed in ireland. Im going talking about the different area in law also such as the roles in the court being one of them and going into brief discription on each one.

Law: is when reguation are put into a country like rules which have to be follwed because its the law and if its not followed there will be a range of different punishment for the guilty one who has broken this rule. In law there are two sides the cival law and criminal, criminal law being that of a more serious offence then that of a cival law as it means who have committe a more serious offence like such as murder, manslauder our even robbery anythingwhich is doing harm to the enviroment and every day living. Cival law would be smaller thing like settling a divorce our a case againist a shop. Criminal law: deals with acts of intentional harm to individuals but which, sense, are lists hundreds of criminal offences - from vandalism to murder - and stipulates the range of punishment that can be imposed. Since crimes are an offence against society, normally the state or Crown investigates and prosecutes criminal allegations on the victim's behalf. The police gather evidence and, in court, public prosecutors present the case against the person accused of the crime.

Civil law: deals with disputes between private parties such as families our harm to others such as people pur work places not agreeing on something, like a contract in work our a contract on land. Such offence could cause a person to take a huge claim bought against them. Sources of law: Sources of law are the materials from which legal rules are made. These materials includes: Customs, religious believe, morality, habits.

The case study i have done is on the case of Joe and rachel o reilly the murder of Rachel o reilly which took place 0ctober the 24th. I will be writing a step by step account of what happened to her that day such as the what she was doing before she was murdered and how she was murdered.
