• Good morning, my name is… Could you tell me your name please? • Please show me your identification / passport? That’s fine, thank you. • Are you currently studying or working?
• What qualities do you think you need to have to be a successful student? • To what extent have your parents contributed to your success as a student?

PART ONE B
• Now I’d like to ask you a few questions about technology. • Are computers an important part of your life? Why or why not? • Would you say that you are a person who enjoys new technology? (Or a person who would rather not change the way you do things?) • Is new technology important in your professional field? In what way, why or why not?

PART TWO A
Now I’m going to give you a topic and I’d like you to talk about it for one or two minutes. Before you talk, you’ll have one minute to think about what you are going to say. You can make some notes if you wish. Do you understand? Here’s some paper and a pencil for making notes, and here’s your topic.

I’d like you to describe an event or activity that has made you happy.
