• Tourism Management Department of the College of Tourism and Hospitality Management, De La Salle University- Dasmariñas incorporated Events Management in its curriculum since 2001. • TOUR 321-Events Management (4) units.

Events that were organized:

✓ The First Young Filipino Tourism Advocates Power Conference and Miss Tourism Student Philippines 2011 ✓ Mr. & Ms. Teen Tourism Philippines 2012

What: Mr. & Ms. Teen Tourism Philippines 2013 (second time)
Where: PAGCOR Grand Theater, Ninoy Aquino Avenue, Parañaque When: 22nd of February 2013 (Friday) 4:00 pm- 8:00pm
Who: Secondary students nationwide
Why: to promote the different festivals of the Philippines and strengthen Filipino culture and tradition which can contribute to the continuous growth of the tourism industry in the country. Theme: “DLSU-D creating possibilities, promoting Philippine festivities”

Aims & Objectives:
✓ It also aims to promote the DLSU-D for the incoming college students to generate more enrolees especially in the College of Tourism and Hospitality Management. ✓ Helps the present generation to be exposed in the field they will be a part of in the near future, hence, introduce new trends through the collaboration of modern pageants and traditional dances. Organizers: 3rd year BS Tourism Management students under the College of Tourism and Hospitality Management; officially enrolled in Events Management subject for the second semester of the academic year 2012-2013. Pre-requisite: TQM = recognize and assess quality management processes and evaluate departmental processes and planning strategies.

• Fourth batch to organize a beauty pageant as a major event after Ms. Tourism Philippines 2010 & 2011 and Mr. and Ms. Teen Tourism Philippines 2012 and second batch for the secondary level.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Single, has neither been married nor has ever given birth • Must be a Filipino citizen
• Between 15 to 17 years of age at the time of the pageant (with parental consent) • Must be presently enrolled
• Must be fluent in Filipino and English
• At least five feet and three inches in height (5’3’’) for ladies and at least five feet and six inches in height (5’6’’) for gentlemen • Must have pleasing personality and good moral character

PAGEANT REQUIREMENTS
• Accomplished Mr. & Ms. Teen Tourism Philippines 2013 entry form • One copy of each colored close-up and full body-shot photo (5R size) • Photocopy of School ID and must be presented on the day of orientation. • Letter of endorsement from school principal

• Photocopy of certified copy of enrolment/ registration • Photocopy of birth certificate coming from NSO
