In the great debaters and the Mississippi trial has their distinctness. The great debaters there was justice served. When one of the debaters James farmer give his audience a powerful speech about civil “disobedience is a moral weapon in the fight for justice’’ and also used logos ethos to draw his audience attention. He was in the right track winning for his teammates. He also include some great facts about laws also to let his audience decide ‘’ the definition of moral’’ based on events including violence and civil disobedience. He’s speech was proficient that he end up taken the first price at Harvard universities. In the Mississippi trial they went against the white community of green wood, however they didn’t succeed so they wasn’t any justice. The two white men that killed the black negroe walk out of the court house with no charges. The other characteristics between the great debaters and the Mississippi trial is the debaters have freedom of speech , but in the Mississippi trial they didn’t have the right to talk for what’s right or wrong .The debaters have the privilege to say their speech against a white school and make a different for the blacks. In Mississippi trial Emmet parents or the blacks negroes couldn’t give a speech to the whites audience or judges and caught their attention. Mississippi trial took place in Mississippi 1950 and the great debaters took place in Texas 1930. The connection between Mississippi trial and the great debaters a black Negroes got killed. The debaters saw a black person lynching and getting burn by the whites because of the Jim Crow laws. In the Mississippi trial Emmet got killed by two whites and they threw him in the river....
