  1. Introduction
The topics I have chosen are The Man from Nowhere, Toy Story 3, and Tron: Legacy. The first being a South Korean film that climbed to #1 in 2010 and featured action and suspense on par or superior to a similar American movie, Taken. Toy Story 3, follows as a box office hit that delighted people of all ages, all across the country and the world. Tron: Legacy rounds off the line-up with a sci-fi revisit to the world of Tron, almost 30 years in the making.
I could definitely see myself acting in the film Man from Nowhere as an actor. Realistically though over 90% of actors make less than $20,000 a year so I would probably have a second job as well. The biggest threat to getting fired or laid off would be that making films is project-based. Once the project finishes, an actor needs to find a new job(project) to audition for or be casted in. Major threats would be other actors also vying for the same roles. Also casting directors are fickle and something such as the color of my eyes, my height, or even my room presence could prevent me from being cast for a role. The key thing that I have learned in my acting classes is that a person has to be a tad crazy to pursue acting and if a person is trying to act then they are better off not doing it for fame and money but because they are inspired to because it is their passion.
Other concerns that could lead to being fired would be if I was not prepared for scenes, which require memorization of the script and being able to bring the emotion and body language in every scene, take after take. Being fully prepared for roles and long hours are key considerations when pursuing an acting career.
