The Movies

What would the mall be without a movie theater?   The cheaper theater around Humboldt. This place called “The Movies” used to be a nice theater in its time. But now it’d been dying. “The movies” theater would be better if the owners had cheaper tickets, cheaper food prices, and worked on the insides to make it look better and presentable. As a employee of this theater my coworkers and I can say that owners expect this place to make money. But our opinion is that you can’t expect a theater to make money if corporation just provide used movies that have been out to the public for more than a month. I think “The Movies” should be a nice place and been treated like all the other ones because in fact all the movie theaters around here are from the same company, which one is “Coming Attractions Theaters”.

  The people from “Coming Attraction company” have been telling people that they are about to shut down this theater since last December because it’s not making any money. But how they make this place run is sending old movies that “Broadway cinema” used them first and when they start to not getting enough people to a movie they send them to “The Movies”.   The ticket price at “Broadway cinema is 6$ before 6 o’clock and 8.75$ after 6 o’clock. This is worth it if they are new movies that just came out. But that same price for a theater that gets old movies? I don’t see it like a fair thing. After a while by like march Corporation or the owners of “The movies” were still saying people that they were going to shut down the theater but they realize that it was not fair to have a whole price for old movies. So they put their prices cheaper. Corporation put the prices at 5$ everyone any time. With this deal they were going to get more people coming to watch movies. This theater start getting a little more people than the usual but no enough so by the summer the changed the date of shutting down for the end of summer and also they changed prices again.
