MOVIE REVIEW.
Underworld
The review I read was by: Common Sense Media, by Nell Minow. And I thought the review was very good. Common Sense Media says that Underworld is “Pulpy, punk-ish story for older teens.” Personally the reason I thought it was a good review was because it gave me a description of the story, which, by the way was very good and didn’t give away the ending, reviews of reviewers (Parents and teens) both good and bad, it gave the names of all the main actors and actresses and you could tell in the review that she really did see the movie because she gave a little more detail than the movie description but nothing to unveil the end.
The description of the story was very good and helped me choose if this movie would be good or not. For example, I love to have a little romance in every movie I see, not the full blown consuming love scenes but a kiss here and there with the occasional ‘I love you’. And so in the review Nell wrote: “You can tell they are meant for each other because while everyone else in the movie has slicked-back hair, Michael's and Selene's hair falls adorably over their eyes.”
The reviews of the reviewers helped with my decision to see this film also. There were a lot of reviews from kids my age who are tired of seeing the same kind of vampires on screen. So here is a review that was one I thought helped with my decision to see this film: “The real vampires: I’m so sick of Twilight but I’ll tell you watching this was a relief... not anywhere near as scary as I had expected it to be...it was an R rated movie and I’m 14...but the gore was kind of nasty...” And this review: “Underworld is an amazing movie. Better than Twilight. Better then the second Underworld. Better than Dracula. It brings vampires and werewolves into our modern world in a realistic way.”
