Kurt Vonnegut is the author of Mother Night and many other bestselling books. Vonnegut was born November 11, 1922 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Kurt Vonnegut is known as most influential American novelist. Vonnegut would mix science fiction and humor together Kurt Vonnegut studied at Cornell from 1940 - 1942. After that Vonnegut enlisted into the Army to study engineering in 1943. A year later, Vonnegut fought in the Battle of The Bulge, Vonnegut was captured as a P.O.W. After Vonnegut left from the war, he married his high school sweetheart and had three children. Then after that Kurt Vonnegut wrote his first novel, Player Piano.
Howard Campbell, Jr. is an American by birth who grew up in Germany and was a playwright and married to Helga, a German girl. Howard W. Campbell Jr. was asked by an American colonel and asked if he would spy for the US. But in order to spy on the level they wanted him to, he would have to go full undercover, Howard joined the Nazi party. After the war Campbell went to New York to avoid conflict with Israel. Soon, Howard meets his neighbor George Kraft and he tries to trick Howard into feeling to Moscow to avoid being noticed in New York. Howard never agreed to go to Moscow. Shortly after George tried to trick Howard into going to Moscow, a man came to his door with a woman who looked like Helga, Howard's wife. After a while it turns out to be Resi, Helgas sister. Resi tells Howard how Helga ended up dieing She was at a camp it was overrunned. Resi tells Howard that she wants to escape to Mexico City where Howard would write his plays and Resi would act in them. When they got to Mexico City, It turned out to be a plan just to get Howard captured. After the FBI get Howard into Custody, Resi took cyanide which killed her instantly. While Howard was in captive hold from the FBI, One of Howards friends set him free. When Howard was set free, he headed back to his apartment. Howard felt like he had no point to go on anymore, So...
