Most Memorable Person
An unforgettable person, who greatly impacted my life in a very positive way, was my grandfather. The most striking physical feature that I remember him by was his black glasses He always wore them while he read his daily newspaper and his many books.
Due to my parents’ busy jobs, my siblings and I spent a lot of time at my grandparents’ house. My mother is a real-estate agent who also manages a company and my dad works for our governor as her body guard. They took great care of us. But, it’s my grandfather that stands out. He was like a second father to us. Soon as we walked in, he’d smile the biggest smile. Then, he’d take off to the kitchen, where he’d prepare our favorite yogurt drink. On weekends, he did different outdoor activities with all of us. He’d take us camping, climbing, and fishing. He also had fun cooking with us. If I happened to get hurt, he always knew just what to do and make me feel better.
He was my role model. He greatly understood me and always knew everything I was thinking. He was also very knowledgeable about many things and subjects. He proved this one time when we became lost in the mountains. He climbed around across the rocks and made use of his knowledge about our environment to lead us home. But above all things, he always encouraged me to stay strong and stay positive no matter what happened to me in

Ever since I can remember I spent almost ever y day at my Grandparents house. They live right down the road from my family and me, and that is how they got the title “Grandma and Grandpa down the road”. They lived in a small house three bedrooms, one bathroom, and a small living room with a fire place that can worm the coldest heart. And in their back yard stood a shed filled with old farm equipment and stray cats with their kittens that I would try to catch every day. They are now both 78 years old and sadly not very healthy. My grandpa was diagnosed with lung cancer in October, and it changed my grandpa’s life, my family’s life, and my life.…

Even to this day, I don't know how my grandma had so much love for someone who she could barely remember. Yet, since my grandma's condition was bad I naturally helped out my family with my great grandma. I would bring in and out sodas for her since she had a mad addiction to the fizzy drink, and sometimes I would bring her hot meals. Even though doing all of that was great, my favorite thing to do for her was to keep her company. On the most beautiful of days, we would go out and sit on the neon yellow swing set in front of our house in early afternoons when the leaves were turning a beautiful shade of brown and the weather was just the right temperature. The wind sang alluring songs in your ears as the branches of the lush trees danced to the melody. I can picture it just like it was yesterday. The pond next to us glimmered a light blue color as the swing squeaked in glee. She would sing the same tune each time and i would drift into a world of peace and tranquility where nothing else mattered at that moment. But as a little girl, I took those special moments for granted. I was too oblivious to know that good things don't last forever, they never…

My grandfather has and always will be my role model. I treasure many memories of him and I devoting our time to serving of our community. He led a local food pantry that required him to continually shop for food, then deliver it to his food pantry. About five years ago, together we made numerous Thanksgiving baskets. On Thanksgiving morning, we rode in his filled up truck and delivered them to countless families who may have not been able to experience the typical holiday meal without some assistance.…

I enjoyed a very close relationship with my grandfather. He was an avid storyteller and ensured that he told me one when putting me to sleep. My grandfather’s stories were insightful, often revolving around the themes of honesty and compassion. He constantly implored me to observe the above virtues and many others making my life more meaningful. Although all my grandfather’s stories contained moral lessons that would guide me in life, one act of charity stands out and had a profound impact on my young life.…

When my son was first born I knew how proud he was to have battled with cancer long enough to be a Great Grandfather. He stayed very involved with my son’s life until the cancer started to get worse. The last outfit my grandpa had sent my son was a onesie that had a Ford logo on the front, and steam coming out of the back. My other Grandfather, Pop-Pop, is the retired Vice President of Ford. I was raised to drive a Ford or I would basically be shunned. Every summer I would spend two weeks with my grandpa and that would be his time to…

At first we did not get along at all, but he never gave up on me. He was always there making sure I was making the right decisions and teaching me every painful lesson for making the wrong decision. I remember when I was 14 and I sort of ran away, but eventually got hungry and started riding my bike home. I got about half way there and sure enough he pulled up alongside me in the truck and all he said was “I’ll be waiting for you at home boy”. With only about 2 miles left it took me about 1 hour and a half. When I finally got there he knocked me off my bike and started teaching in his own way. This is by far…
