Slide one- Moonrise Kingdom is a 2012 romantic comedy-drama film directed by Wes Anderson, written by Anderson and Roman Coppola. Set on an island off the coast of New England in the summer of 1965, Moonrise Kingdom tells the story of two 12-year-olds who fall in love, make a secret pact, and run away together into the wilderness. As various authorities try to hunt them down, a violent storm is brewing offshore – and the peaceful island community is turned upside down in every way. After found Suzy’s parents forbid them from having anything to do with each other., yet their friends help them to sneak out to see each other.
Slide two- In a movie you can tell a lot about a character and their relationships towards other characters by simple techniques story-writers and directors use. These techniques are SWAT (symbolic, written, audio, technique). By using these techniques it minimizes the need to explain more in the dialect and it creates more emotion towards the audience.
Slide three- There are few characters in this movie, yet all play an important role. There is the Narator, who is used to explain and tell the story with more depth. The Bishop family, who all are very different. The social service worker, who helps find Sam along with the scout boys, redford and scout master ward. Captain Sharp, who helps the search, but also is having a secret relationship with Mrs. Bishop and Suzy and Sam, The two that the story follows.
