Fitness Assessment Reflection Questions:
Explain how you feel about your scores when compared to the Healthy Fitness Zone Standards. I feel like my scores were still mainly above average and I am proud of them. I still plan on lowering my BMI and that will be my short term goal. I am excited about the increase of curl-ups and push-ups.

Explain how your activity routine is improving each of your health-related components of fitness (flexibility, muscular strength and endurance, cardiovascular, and body composition)? My flexibility has not increased at all because I have not been consistent with my stretching. However I increased the amount of cardio and weight at the gym, I believe the increase in cardio resulted in a slightly faster time for my mile run because I have built up an endurance. The increase in weight at the gym has resulted in me performing more pushups and curl ups. These fall under the category of muscular strength.

I got fifty percent or above on my entire percentile scores but one which compared to some classmates wasn’t bad. My only issue was my flexibility that I received a ten percent. This scared me because I have always been a very athletic guy and never thought this would be my issue. I have committed myself after seeing my scored to eat a less fat diet to help my body composition. Also getting in the gym more and doing more callisthenic exercises to improve my muscular endurance and strength. Try to run two miles at least twice a week or run a mile every other day. When it comes to my flexibility, I feel my percentile was low do to not warming up or stretching prior to the exam, regardless I will always try to stretch prior exerting and definitely after every activity. My 9th grade post score was 18 because 5 push-ups wasn’t that good and I just wanted to get a better score and my goal was 20 but I got rally close to it. My 10th grade baseline was 34 because in the beginning of 10th grade I started to rally pracice my push-ups skills becaue I knew that could do better than 18 push-ups. I went down on my post test score because my arms were sore from the 12 minute swim and my arms were getting tired. My 9th grade baseline and post scores for the sit & reach was 8”inches because even though I wasn’t flexible I tried to keep the have the same score for both times. My 10th grade baselline score 8” becasue I wanted to kepp the same score as my 9th grade year and also because I did not think that I could do better. Health Style Self Test

Undoubtedly, the health style self-test was an eye-opener, in relation to my general health lifestyle. As a matter of fact, my overall score for this test was 84 out of 100 despite being a high score there are still upgrades to be made in my lifestyle. In all honesty, I didn’t think my health score would be this high, since I am yet striving to eat sound nourishments and exercise regularly. In this manner, I thought I would get a lower score for the health style self test. Seeing that, despite everything I require wellbeing enhancements, thus the progressions I would incorporate would be to drink more fluids, eat more fruits and exercise more, regardless of the a busy schedule.…

After completing the seven dimensions of wellness assessment I’m not very surprised by my results. I’m not surprised because I think that overall I have been making good lifestyle choices. The social score didn’t surprise me, which was 30 out of 30 because I am always hanging out with friends and I always have a great time with them. The emotional wellness score also didn’t surprise me, which was 49 out of 50 because usually I am a pretty open person. The score I received for physical wellness, which was 48 out of 55 did surprise me a little bit because currently I am in soccer and I think that I am pretty healthy. I wasn’t surprised about the scores I received for career wellness, intellectual wellness, environmental wellness, and spiritual…

On the first fitness test, I had gotten 34 for the push up, +19 for the flex; 240cm for the standing jump 55 for the sit-ups and a level 7 on the beep test. Knowing myself, I was ashamed at how out of shape I was. I knew I could do a lot better than that and that in the past I have done better. The reasons on why I might have gotten these results may be because of the lack of physical activity I had before the testing. Although the flex, standing jump were on par with the others and a level 4, I was still disappointed since all the other testing results were way below the average. Push-ups were never really a thing for me; I barely ever did pushups except for in testing or in sport practices. For the Flex although I don’t consider myself flexible I got a decent result out of it. In the standing jump I did pretty well but for the sit-ups testing I did terrible with only 55 sit-ups in 1 minute. Although I am able to do sit-ups for a very long period of time, my speed was not efficient enough to bring me to a mark of satisfaction. For the…
