PREFACE
It is very well known that management students are prepared to take up challenges of industries as well as markets. For this purpose they are asked to undertake several projects. In this regards, we the students of N.S.V.K.M.S. MBA College, Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University, Visnagar, have undertaken a management research project on “Investors awareness about Carbon credit & Opinion and Views of stock market Participants and Dealers on Carbon Credit”.

The main objective behind the project report is to critically analyze and evaluate the awareness of retail investors’ towards carbon credit investment instrument and Market Participants and Dealers’ views regarding the current and future market as well as benefits and risk associated with carbon credit investment alternatives. It required analyzing the secondary as well as primary research data. The secondary research provides knowledge about the all around carbon credit market in India whereas the primary research gave the knowledge about the same in selected cities in Gujarat.

The primary research analysis consists of two parts; first evaluating retail investors’ awareness regarding carbon credit and in second part take views of stock market participants and dealers towards future and present scenario of carbon credit.
