Q. What are the main dependent and independent factors that are being studied in this theory? If possible, try to graphically illustrate the proposed relations between these factors Before discussing the main dependent and independent factors of critical realism theory, we need to know what the terms ‘dependent factors’ and ‘independent factors’ mean. The independent factor is typically the variable representing the value being manipulated or changed and the dependent factor is the observed result of the independent factors being manipulated. The main dependent and independent factors that are being studied in critical realism theory are as follow. Main independent construct(s)/factor(s)|Main dependent construct(s)/factor(s)| 1. Systems quality2. Information quality3. Service quality4. Control techniques5. Implementation factors6. Implementation success|1. System use2. System success3. User satisfaction4. In an information system, critical realism theory is primarily used to study how information is used by organizations and measures the perceived net benefits from using an information system. Therefore, the quality of information systems of each organization and the quality of information uesd in the system influence how succefully the information system is employed for organizations. In addition, user satisfation, intention to use the system, perceived net benefits from using the information system, and how trustful the system is are decided by service quality, control techniques, implementation factors and implementation success. Developed service quality after applying to certain case can increase user satisfaction. Also, if control techniques are improved from removing unnecessary thing, perceived net benefits from using the information system can increase because of effective control techniques. Implementation factors and success can be defined after applying...
