MillCreek Mall Review
Millcreek Mall Review

Erie is a city known for its beautiful bayfront beaches, rich history, and exciting downtown nightlife, but its shopping is extremely underrated. One of the highlights of shopping in Erie is the Millcreek Mall located on upper Peach Street. Although the linear layout may cause a lot of backtracking, the Millcreek Mall has large variety of unique and nationally known stores with several hotels and restaurants surrounding it, making the experience convenient and enjoyable for the shopper.

Travelling form Canada to Gannon University in Erie, Pennsylvanian, my family decided to do some shopping prior to visiting the university. Doing some research before making the trip, the Millcreek Mall was advertised first in the Google search. It’s website was very easy to access and flow through, finding mall times and a map of the stores we desired to visit. The website also prompted sales and discounts for national and local stores within the mall. The Millcreek mall website allowed for planning to be done which ultimately added to the enjoyable shopping experience.

Driving down Peach Street, there were many visible signs informing shoppers of how to reach the mall. It was very easy to exit the highway and reach the mall with no confusion and stress free. The Millcreek mall has an enormous amount of parking choices surrounding the mall with many different entrances. The one of twelve entrances eliminated the need to cluster parking spaces and promoted cars to spread out, allowing for a closer spot to the door. The entrances made it every wheelchair accessible with ramps and automatic doors. This positively contributed to my trip due to the fact my father is in a wheelchair. The accessibility and the ability to easily find the mall further improved my shopping trip to Millcreek Mall.

The Millcreek Mall offers a wide range of stores between Hollister to Dicks Sporting Goods. This large variety of stores allows for an array of

On Saturday November 9, 2014 from 12:00 PM to 1:00PM EST I sat in the Centre of Salisbury mall in Salisbury Maryland. I sat on the north side of the mall near the entrance and at this end of the mall there is a movie theatre, a Game Stop video game store and a large sporting good’s store called Dicks Sporting goods and not to far off from where I was sitting on the east side from where I was at is the food court. I was sitting in a square shaped bench that had four sides to it and I was sitting on the bench facing in. Overall the environment was very nice with a large skylight type archway that let in the sunshine and made it feel warm in the mall and its was already decorated for the holiday season with xmas trees and flowers strewn throughout the corridors. About twenty five feet from where I was sitting was a wooden kiosk where they were selling throwback video game systems that attracted a lot of customers.…

I completed this observation on the Main Street Pedestrian Mall in downtown Memphis. As a pedestrian mall, Main Street in most of downtown Memphis is closed to vehicular traffic, with the idea of promoting usage by pedestrians. Trolley lines run along the middle of the street, although the trolleys are currently under repair and have been replaced with buses. Specifically, I observed activity along a block of Main Street just south of Union Avenue. The mixed-use block includes several popular restaurants (including patio areas for outdoor seating), apartments, medical offices, and retail stores. The availability of benches along the pedestrian mall allowed for unobtrusive observations of pedestrians walking past. The observation…

A suggestion that was used in the book was to add entertainment to the center of the mall. The entertainment can be anything from holiday shows, occasional concerts, a playground for kids, or even just an open area with comfortable resting spots where customers can relax and de-stress. A perfect type of idea would be a small coffee house type of area that serves coffee and soda with a waitresses on staff to cater to each patron’s needs. Especially during the holiday season, this would be a great relaxing way for customers to rest their feet and collect their thoughts before heading to the next store on the list.…
