All military soldiers have an obligation to conduct themselves like they are adults and to show respect to the ranks above them. If a Soldier fails to do so they are not only disrespecting the NCO and Officer above them. They are also breaking rules and regulations set in place by regulations and UCMJ.
There are many different ways military bearing ties into your every day life it take alot of discipline to continuously keep your military bearing. In some units it gets "lax" and people forget everything they were taught upon joining the military. I have not forgotten but i do get buddy buddy with fellow Soldiers that i should not.
Military bearing has many components that are involved such as self-discipline, disipline of others, taking apropriate actions for events or taskings, addressing superiors appropriately and dependability. Not just one thing can prove you have military bearing its takes being a professional and and a leader in all aspects of life to prove that you have military bearing. This is how it effects us.
Self-discipline means that you have the ability to control yourself. If you do not have self-discipline you so you are hot headed and unreliable.
If you cant help maintain discipline of others it shows poor leader ship therefore making the unit from the lowest level to the highest level.
Taking approipriate actions for events or taskings means that in the event of something bad happens contact the chain of command and the appropriate authorities so the situation can get handled. In the event of a tasking you show military bearing by coming up with a logical plan not...
