Michael Jordan

You guys might know Michael Jordan just as one of the greats in NBA history, but he has a lot more behind his name then just the hall of fame and basketball. Michael Jordan has done many great things in hid life that has changed sports and society today! Jordan has become a great entrepreneur because the decisions that he made were good and he’s put many years of hard work into his work and is effort was OUTSTANDING! You probably thought that Michael Jordan’s life when he was a kid was good and wealthy, but I’m here to tell you …… It wasn’t the best, but it wasn’t the worst. I chose Michael because he never gave up! He always worked hard no matter what it was, in basketball you have to take an arm and leg to even think about beating him! He never gave up and always worked to be as successful as he is today.

When Michael was a kid it wasn’t baseball he was in love with, it was yet baseball. He would play catch in the front yard with his dad who also loved and had a desire for the game of baseball. Michael and his family lived in North Carolina after moving from Brooklyn because his parents thought that the streets weren’t safe. After a couple of years he wanted to play basketball like his bother Larry, who he idolized growing up and decided that he wanted to follow in his footsteps. At Laney High school, as a sophomore he decided to try out for the varsity team, but didn’t make because he was to short and his game wasn’t met to the coach’s standards. After a summer of tiring practice and he grew four inches Michael made the team and the hard work paid off as he averaged 25 PPG and was selected for the McDonalds All- American Team as a senior. He then got a scholarship form North Carolina University where he played great basketball! Jordan was named ACC freshman of the year and would help the Tarheels to win the 1982 NCAA championship game, making the game winning shot.
