The dead will be awoken once more and will be singing and celebrating. “The words, though they imply a belief more or less distinct in a resurrection.” (Bible Hub) Once again resurrection is not mentioned directly but implied. The set starts out with every member of the band coming out on stage one at a time. Some of the instruments I recognized and was familiar with, such as the saxophone, clarinet, bass, and drums. They introduced a variety of instruments that looked either homemade or sounded strange to me, like the electric banjo, drumitar, and synthesizers. There was a bit of scat vocals done by Victor Wooten as well. One thing I noticed in this song was the repetition. I think the bass line was constant throughout the entire four minute long song. The set looked very non-Western to me, especially the rugs that were laid down in the middle of the stage. Almost the entire song had a mixed meter and…

On February 14, 1983, a passionate, fierce pop-rock song was released by a man who was known as the King of Pop. “Beat It” instantly skyrocketed and was a complete success, winning two Grammy’s and holding the top spot in the Top 40 for three weeks (Whitaker). Michael Jackson, the pop and R&B star, wanted to broaden his audience and wrote “Beat It” after his producer advised him to write something like, “My Sharona,” which was a great success for The Knack in 1979 (Songfacts). Jackson’s popular tune was covered by several artists, but one particularly stood out to many rock fans. 25 years after the release of “Beat It,” Fall Out Boy and John Mayer released their rendition of the song and it hit #19 on the US charts and performed it live at…

He wants to tell us that man and Nature are something inseparable. Of what he describes in the first few lines we understand that he is in a deep regret because he has interrupted in time his touch with Nature, and by returning once again as an adult he wants to prove that he is no longer thoughtless as in his boyhood, and that now he is fully aware of what she can offer him once more. We see that he will no longer waste his time as in his early days, and that he will cherish each moment amongst the rivers and the woods which will leave him with pleasant memories. The…

He pitied me,” (12-13) to criticize the male figure. The two lines together show how the man never had any feelings for the author and he only feels pity for her just because she is dead. The male figure does not realize that he loves the author or longs for her after her death like the saying “you don’t have until is gone,” would usually be portrayed. The author is gone but the male figure still does not love her.…

He has come to the brink of eternity from which nothing can vanish---no hope, no happiness, and no vision of a face seen through tears. It is the ultimate crossroads between life and death. Eternity and eternal rest are always the mortals’ ultimate desire. His only prayer was to dip his emptied life into that ocean, plunge it into the deepest fullness. Let him for once feel that lost sweet touch in the allness of the universe and be one with it. He will learn to look at the world and at life from heaven’s eyes.…
