Pharmacology of the National Heart Institute of Sweden, in 1958, discovered that dopamine functions as a neurotransmitter—a chemical released by nerve cells to send signals to other nerve cells. It plays a major role in the brain system that is responsible for reward-motivated behavior. Every type of reward that has been studied increases the level of dopamine in the brain. My work is best seen live and in the moment of the performance, and therefore my desired reward for the audience lies within being at the right place at the right time to witness the projection in the room. The performance entails positioning a projector so that it shines over audience members' heads onto a white wall. The band provides the sound that accompanies my visuals. When describing my performance, I usually refer to it as a visual performance and light show, and I simply want the maximum amount of people to experience it as possible. My show is most effective when it is accompanied by ambient sounds and live music. I have a hand-held camera that I move to the beat of the music, so the sound is crucial to the performance.
The mirror filter allows for a display of abstract symmetry. The magnified and enlarged imagery reveals all the commonly-overlooked details that create the projection's content. The viewer can notice fractal art within my projected imagery. New York artist, Edward Berko, renowned for exhibiting fractal art in Europe and the USA, says, “Nature makes fractals in all its processes: the formation of a forest, the paint which peels off a wall, the cracks in the road, the clouds in the sky, the wood which ages. In man also.” Fractals take place when there is
