Some of the methods used to prevent corrosion and rusting are discussed here:
1} Barrier Protection : In the method , a barrier flim is introduced between iron surface and atmospheric air. The flim is obtained by painting , varnishing etc.
2} Galvanization : The metallic iron is covered by a layer of mare reactive metal such as zinc. The active metal losses electrons in preference of iron. Thus , protective from rusting and corrosion.

Galvanization is named after an Italian scientist named Luigi Galvani. Galvanization is the process by which zinc is coated onto corrosive metals. This process refers to any of the several electrochemical processes. During the process, zinc simply will not adhere to a steel surface that is not cleansed perfect. Galvanization protects from corrosion of various ‘soft metals’ but also adds strength of the original, uncoated…

In the present research work, Zinc coating on low steel sheets has been developed by mean of galvanizing process with varying the different types of Eco-friendly fluxes and conventional fluxes to study its effect on the corrosion performance & other physical properties of zinc coatings. Quality of this galvanized steel is characterized by AC impedance spectroscopy. Coating thickness was determine by coating thickness gauge while adhesively of coating were find out by bend test. Corrosion performances of coating was determined by potentio-dynamic test using Potentiostat Gammry Reference 600 & Salt spray test. Results of various testing shows that coating developed using conventional fluxes has good physical properties & corrosion resistance with compare to eco-friendly fluxes, while coating developed using combination of 50 % conventional flux & 50 % eco-friendly flux has good adherent, uniform and high corrosion resistant coating with compare to all other…
