Mercy Killing

Euthanasia can be a good idea. It is an easy and painless way of letting life go. There are two types of euthanasia; active and passive euthanasia. Active euthanasia is when a doctor gives an ill patient medicine that will kill them but passive euthanasia is when a patient refuses to get the medical treatment or medicine that is needed to stay alive.   There are three main topics of euthanasia: Peace of Mind, the Quality of Life and the impact on the family.
With so many people wanting to die because their quality of life is so low with being ill, mercy killing should be legalized in Canada. It provides a way to relief a person of life if they have a low quality of life. It stops the suffering of people with diseases and people families no longer have to suffer as well. These diseases could include aids, amyotrophic lateral disease, multiple sclerosis and cerebral palsy. With the choice to decide when you die could be used to prevent suicide. Individuals would rather be killed without pain.
To know that an ailing family member could be saved from pain by dying could be a relief. Knowing that your relative is no longer suffering or in great pain in relieving. Most suicide by cops range from the age of 18(which is when some leave home and could make the parents very distressed) to 54. With 98% of the suicides being male many families could become more aware of what having a boy could lead up to. [continues]
