The legalization of marijuana in United States would drastically reduce crime in our society. “In 1972, the US Congress placed marijuana in act of the Controlled Substances because they want to legalize medical use of marijuana for good purpose. Since then, 17 of 50 US states and DC have legalized the medical use of marijuana” (Medical marijuana pg. 15). Although marijuana classified as illegal substance and has over the course of the past several decades, received a great deal of negative pressure, there are several benefits associated with the used of medical marijuana and that many people today with help of modern science people are making the argument about the medical marijuana should be legal with government. It’s used for many medical reasons today. Death fro, medical marijuana is impossible. Annually there are less death from marijuana use then alcohol and other substances. If we legalized medical use of marijuana in united stated then we can help those people who are suffering from pain caused by cancer, AIDS, multiple sclerosis, pain, glaucoma, epilepsy, and other conditions.
