First and foremost I would like to thank God without whose inspiration and help I would not have been able to write this report.
I also thank my parents for their love and care all these years and for being there throughout the period of my training. I must also thank the Federal Government, whose idea this program was and who lobbied hard for its realization. I thank the management of Chi Limited for taking me in for the program. I’m also very indebted to my supervisors, Mr. Gbadamosi T. Kolapo,Engr. Tosin Adesoye and also Mr. habib who made sure that I was at my best at all times. They have all spent considerable time ensuring that my log book was accurate and up-to-date. I’m grateful to the technicians at Chi Limited for providing me with information on identification of plumbing tools, repair of plumbing work and installation of plumbing materials, in particular to Mr. Habib for taking from his short time of work ensuring I got understood the principles and rudiments of plumbing. I would also like thank my H.O.D., Dr. B. Kareem, the Dean, Dr. S. Afolayan, all my lecturers and of course, my supervisor for their support in every way. Last, I thank my able colleague in my department, Sule Olufemi Demian for his support in search for the guide lines and materials to be used for the writing of my report. And also, Mr Seyi Taiwo and his able brother, Mr. Kunle Taiwo for their help and support, during the search of my siwes attachment.
This report shows the major projects undertaken in the course of my SIWES training. All of these projects or tasks were all done under instruction and supervision by a superior and with help from other technicians. The training has given me some knowledge on the repair and installation of basic plumbing, identification of plumbing tools and also how to relate with different people from all walks of life. In view of all this, the SIWES program can be described as successful in all its purposes. Recommendations for the program are that a better co-ordinate supervision of students should be effected and companies are oriented on the technicalities of the program

So far, the introduction of SIWES has aided the improvement of the education sector and has also served as an avenue for students to get acquainted with the scope of the operations of the labour market and what is required to face the challenges thereof. However, one sour point of the scheme is that placements are inadequate for the student population. Getting a good placement in organizations relevant to the student profession has been a major challenge restraining the goal of the Scheme. I was privileged and most opportune to have had my Industrial Training with Chi Limited, a company with diversified interests in various sectors of...
