Foreword

The AUN-QA Guidelines and Manual have served well as a tool for AUN member universities to implement and assess their quality and quality assurance system since their publication in 2004-2006. The AUN-QA Manual has also been translated into Chinese and Vietnamese edition. At the end of 2010, AUN had successfully completed ten actual quality assessments at programme level involving twenty-three undergraduate programmes in seven AUN member universities within a 3-year period. In the last two years, AUN has also trained nineteen new assessors, thereby, increasing the pool of AUN assessors to twenty-five. These accomplishments would not be possible without the commitment and active support of AUN Board of Trustees (AUN-BOT), Chief Quality Officers (CQOs) and assessors of AUN member universities. To further enhance and sustain quality assurance practices and quality in higher education, AUN establishes an AUN-QA Documentation Review Committee and Procedure to keep its documents updated and relevant.
