Have you ever thought of the most sensible and logical way to avoid foreclosure? No one thinks about a legal procedure taking place that allows a lender to reclaim your property . Also it could effect you such as taking a long period of time to qualify for a new home, car, renting property, applying for a job, or anything else requiring a credit check. That’s what you’ve been hearing from friends and family right? So, by now you have likely weighed the benefits and decided that home ownership was the best decision. Not really when your facing foreclosure? Well, I have come up with three solutions to avoid foreclosure.
One of the worst mistakes to do is default on a loan. My first solution is to try an work with a mortgage lender and refinance. This is an approach for home owners who find themselves falling behind on their payments. Loan modification is a process where the terms of a mortgage are modified outside the original terms of the contract agreed to by the leader and borrower. Mortgages are modified to the benefit of the borrower in one or more of the following ways such as: reduction in interest rate, or a change from a floating to fixed rate; reduction in principal; reduction in late fees or other penalties; lengthens of the loan term; capping the monthly payment to a percentage of household income. They are looking for an alternative way to stay at their residential home. This will allow the home owner to make manageable payments to it’s lender such as a loan modification. With a loan modification it allows to reduce payments. Loan modifications is similar to refinancing but you don’t have to pay settlement fees or apply for a new home. Also looking into loan modification , the home owner will be recommended to have a loan mod letter. This is also known as the hardship letter.
