Running head: ENTWISTLE 4-MAT REVIEW

ABSTRACT

Throughout all societies the church has been an influence. The church gave guidance to all and humanity depended on this through the Christian beliefs. With the question of psychology and theology, psychology became apart of society. Jesus and Prophets used the combinations of psychology and theology to guide others as this is shown in the Bible. As time went on Darwinism came about and this left people questionable in many ways. Psychology helps guide individuals against sin and help people live healthier lives. Environments play huge factors on peoples beliefs as well. No matter what everyone sins, but we all have the opportunity to ask for forgiveness for our wrongful actions. This is how we can still go one and feel that we are still on track with our beliefs by asking for forgiveness. Entwistle (p.88, 2010) explains, “God is the transcendent creator, who not only created the world, but also upholds and sustains it, and is capable of intervening within it”. We are all beings and we are all meant to make mistakes along our journey. Entwistle (p.88, 2010) explains, “There is the real world, whose normal workings (“scientific laws”) human beings can perceive with some reasonable degree of correspondence to the external world. It is important to understand our faith and have beliefs”. Psychology allows us to see why people do what they do. It allows us to understand why people think or make the actions they do. With psychology and theology we be provided with prospective and faith of our one going lives.
