Some people take music and television for granted. Most people think that they are suppose to have it, but in fact it is a privilege. It was many men’s dream to find a way to listen to a device that can broadcast but to broadcast from different stations all across the world. Only a select few had the motivations to take a small and at the time a crazy dream into reality and bring and this a everyday thing that would soon be in households all across the world. There were three great inventers who all had a part in bringing so much success to broadcasting, radio and television but all in their own little way.
Theses great creative and successful men were named Lee De Forest, Edwin Howard Armstrong and David Sarnoff all played a major part but had their own way of putting it out to the public and getting noticed. One of the men was known as a thief. Another man was known as the hard worker and the one who originally came up with the idea gets little to no credit at all. Edwin is the man that came up with the idea and successfully created it, until one man by the name of Lee De Forest claimed that he created the radio, but he was the one who really got it notice. Then there was the man from Russia who worked his butt of and took over and brought broadcasting to a whole new level.
                      Lee De Forest was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa in 1873. Dr. Lee De Forest was an inventor who changed the world with electronics. His two major inventions were the vacuum tube and sound for motion pictures. His father was a minister and the President of Talladega College, a small black school. Lee De Forest graduated from Yale University and received his Ph.D. His nickname was the “Grandfather of television” and the “Father of the Radio”.
