Maryland Trip August 2011

In August 2011, I went to Glen Burnie, Maryland, to visit my birth mom and her fiancé, Jon.   I had just recently found out that she has cervical cancer, so I had wanted to go see her as soon as possible.   Before school starts, that is, because I knew that as soon as school started, I would have to miss several days in order to go see her.   So, on August 3, my parents and I set off on our expedition to Maryland!   We traveled to Tennessee, and then spent the night there.   When we got to Tennessee, we had a well needed rest and on the next morning, continued our journey.   We got to my mom’s house around 4:00.   When we got there, we sat around and talked for a few minutes or so, then my aunt Michele called.   I talked to her for a few minutes, and then handed the phone back to my mom.   As soon as she got off of the phone with her sister, she looked around in the phone book to find a good hotel for my parents.   I would be staying with Jon and Jessica during this trip instead of my parents.   We found a hotel about 15 or so minutes away from their house then got them settled in.   We dropped off their bags and things at the hotel and went to Outback Steakhouse for supper.   It was excellent!   We took my parents back to the hotel after supper then Jon, Jessica, and I went back to their house and stayed up until about one o’clock that morning.   I had given up; I had to go to bed!  

We woke up the next morning around 10:00.   Jessica said we were going to pick up my brother and sister from Tj’s house.   I was so excited; I hadn’t ever seen them before since I was moved to South Carolina with my current parents at the age of only 10 months old.   I was so ready to see my younger siblings!   When we picked them up, we were on our way to the 64th Annual Glen Burnie Fair!   The fair opened at 5; we got there at about 4:30.   Since we were somewhat in the early hours for the fair, there wasn’t much we could do at the time.   When we got there, Savanah rode some little kid ride she had...
