Abstract
Distribution channels and how they assist in making a product sell. Distribution channels have different levels and organizations. The product being used is Tide laundry detergent the research will consist of different marketing channels and recommend a channel organization that will benefit the product. 

Principles of Marketing
Introduction
When it comes to marketing your product, there are different marketing channels to following. The product to be marketed in this paper is Tide laundry detergent. This paper will consist of marketing channels to get the product to the consumer in an efficient way. Overview of Distribution Channels

Marketing channels for consumer products and services consist of direct channel and indirect channel. Direct channel products and services are sold straight to the consumer by doing this it saves the company money, because they are not using other companies or agencies to sell their product (Kerin, Hartley, & Rudelius, 2012). Indirect channels involve companies and businesses not selling their products directly to the consumers (Kerin, Hartley, & Rudelius, 2012). The products go to other companies who need the resources. This channel of distribution is very common when a company is the beginning of the production line of a certain product.

Furthermore, in marketing there channel organizations like conventional, vertical, horizontal and multichannel marketing systems. Conventional channel consists of more than one producer, wholesalers and retailers, with the business looking forward to gaining a profit for the system as a whole.
