Dear Sir: Christian Greetings!
First of all, I would like to state my appreciation and commend you Sir for organizing such activities that would help students examine their relationship with God and with others, and for their self realization and spiritual renewal. Regarding this matter, I would like to state my apology for not attending the said activity held last January 22, 2013 (Tuesday) of the BSBA – Finance 4 group. To inform you Sir, I’ m one of Jehovah’s Witness and being a member thereof, I have deep respect on our teachings and Bible principles and had established a Bible - trained conscience.
On our part, being Christians also, we do have our own way of “recollection” or remembering Jehovah God (Ps.83:18) not just on a particular way or day but throughout our life. As what we all know, remembering Jehovah God, our Creator means more than just thinking about Him, but also involves doing things that pleases Him. And on our part, as Jehovah’s Witnesses, we always want to build a strong and closer relationship with Jehovah God through doing particular things His Son Jesus did as an example. We regularly read and examine God’s Word, the Bible and apply it in our life (Joshua 1:8); we regularly attend our scheduled Christian meetings (Heb.10:24-25); we try our best to participate in any sort of ministry like ‘preaching the good news of the Kingdom’ and conducting Bible studies with people (Mat.24:14); and most of all we practice and apply Bible teachings and principles in our life, and follow the steps of our Greatest Teacher, Lord Jesus Christ (1 Pet.2:21,Ja.2:21). For these reasons, I personally decided not to attend the activity because of my Bible – trained conscience and also because of some religious conflicts. I hope you would respect my standing and beliefs Sir, as I always show

The reason that you are here for this meeting is that you have all been selected to work in leadership roles in the church. Though you serve in the position at OBC, this opportunity should never be taken lightly because God orchestrated it. As a leader in the ministry, there should be a continually question of “Am I pleasing God and operating at a level of excellence that He would be pleased with in this role.”…

Odes the Jehovah’s require donations or have private finding to keep in operation. I explained how various other religions, like the catholic church, accepted money donations at service, or used both radio and television to spread the word of God to accept funds. Mr. Knauff advised there are no collections made at a Jehovah’s “meeting”, and members are not required to donate. Voluntary donations, however, can be made in containers clearly marked throughout the meeting place. There are no paid clergy, and meeting places are generally considered modest. It is a personal decision to donate, whether toward local expenses or other things. Financial reports are given for the information of the entire congregation, not just the men. Obviously, there were some significant differences…

To begin, I was nervous about attending a service for a faith to which I did not belong and which was not even part of my heritage. Previously when I had attended Baptist worship, I had gone along or with a member of my family, who belonged to the church. I wasn’t sure how people of a different religion would react to having someone who was not of their faith visiting their place of worship. However, as soon as we walked into the synagogue, the people there were very friendly and not at all unused to having visitors. There was a collection of pamphlets set out for anyone unfamiliar with the Jewish religion and with Sabbath services and there were nametags for us to wear. The people were very friendly, asking us if we would like to know anything more about the synagogue. There were people standing in small groups too talking and catching up with the happenings of the week before.…

This paper will give a theological analysis, while reexamining the focus of the themes in which I presented in class. I will also share and reflect critically on the feedback of comments and insights gleamed during the class discussions. Thirdly, I will explore and identify significant findings for my personal and spiritual development and future engagement in ministry. And finally, I will give my concluding theological thoughts about the readings, my site, my personal development, and the class.…

“It has been suggested that, even though non-traditional students are more apt to work full time, these students are not affected by working, commuting, or time limitations because they have more experience at time management” (Lundberg, 2003). Working forty hours a week and being a full-time mom I know all too well about having to time manage everything. Already being in the field of work, I know the importance of deadlines and time management. Taking away extracurricular activities and applying that time to other things can allow you to find extra time to put towards more important things. However, it is still important to allow yourself to enjoy some freedom or allowing downtime.…

The second session I was asked to be the guest speaker and could speak on whatever God laid on my heart. I went to my favorite scripture Matthew 28:18-20, the Great Commission. At this session we had a mixed crowd in attendance but more teenagers than adults. I wished I would have had people inviting me to outreach gatherings were I’d received a bible when I was a teenager. I did remember that as a teenager my church didn’t teach where we could understand even as kids or as a young person in God it went over my head. My goal was to ensure I didn’t make them feel as…

On August 18, I attended a Jewish service at Temple Emanu-El in Westfield, New Jersey. First, there was a prayer circle dedicated to the victims of the Virginia riots. Afterward, there was the weekly Friday service at seven o’clock. It was a special experience to witness the love people showed during both the prayer circle and the normal service. The events practiced during the Jewish service reminded me of my own religion, Christianity. I chose this event to attend because Judaism is the other most popular religion in my town, but I felt as if I did not truly know anything about it. I wanted to expand my knowledge of religions other than my own.…

As adults in today's society, we are often faced with the task of making moral choices in difficult and complicated situations. The dilemmas we face today are a far cry from the issues that our ancestors a generation or two ago faced. Today, for example, we place opinions on how we feel about cloning, stem cell research, Ten Commandment postings in governmental buildings, or school prayer. These issues make these ethical decisions more and more complex in a rapidly changing world. The issues themselves are often of such complexity that a person must gain a depth of understanding in several areas in order to make informed ethical decisions. Religion, science, education, and our cultural traditions are but some of the factors that must be considered in making good moral choices. In an ever-changing world, I have found but one standard that serves as the measuring rod for all of life's questions, and that standard is the Bible. It is quick and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, and it never changes and is always "present tense."…
