This essay is cloud computing(CC), including the introduction of definition of CC, technical components, private and public clouds, security of CC, basic drivers of using CC service, reasons for using CC and option of CC for different companies and the steps. With the development of technology, it is essential for us who learn knowledge about computer and Internet to acquire and make the full use of CC. Choosing a right cloud computing provider means the enterprise will make more profits in the future.
Introduction of CC
As computers became more prevalent, scientists and technologists explored ways to make large-scale computing power available to more users through time sharing, experimenting with algorithms to provide the optimal use of the infrastructure, platform and applications with prioritized access to the CPU and efficiency for the end users. Therefore, the word “CC” came out and the service provided from CC meet the need of most users. Generally, Gartner defines "cloud computing" as a style of computing in which scalable and elastic IT-related capabilities are provided "as a service" to external customers using Internet technologies. It heralds an evolution of business — no less influential than the era of e-business — in positive and negative ways. It has become a "hot" industry term that has been used in many contradictory ways. Overall, there are very real trends toward cloud platforms, and also toward massively scalable processing. Virtualization, service orientation and the Internet have converged to sponsor a phenomenon that enables individuals and businesses to choose how they will acquire or deliver IT services, with reduced emphasis on the constraints of traditional software and hardware licensing models. Services delivered through the "cloud" will foster an economy based on delivery and consumption of everything from storage to computation, to video, to finance deduction management. This presentation defines cloud computing, exposes potential risks and opportunities, and examines the next evolution of business. The cloud is a model of service consumption and delivery. One of its basic premises is that someone else will do the work on behalf of consumers. Cloud computing is a style of computing in which service providers handle most of the work. It presupposes that an organization will be willing to outsource much of its work to service providers. The concept generally incorporates combinations of the following: * Infrastructure as a service (Iaas)
* Platform as a service (Paas)
* Software as a service (Saas)
Cloud computing is the mixed evaluation and jumped result of Virtualization、Utility Computing、Iaas、Paas、Saas.
Private Cloud and Public Cloud
Some people often are confused about private cloud and public cloud and they also simply consider that private cloud offer more profits than public cloud. It is one-sided and whether private cloud provides more benefits or not depends on which company uses the cloud. Firstly, the definition of private and public cloud should be stated clearly. Private Cloud means that enterprise buys its own software and hardware equipment and implement the deployment of exclusive cloud computing system inside. In private cloud, the key data and application about enterprise totally are stored in its inside database to achieve the aim of isolation with Internet. To many major enterprises, the request of data security is comparably higher than some small companies. Therefore, they trends...
