The researcher, Steeven Sean P. Vidamo, was born on September 18, 1992 in Imus, Cavite. He is the eldest among the three children of Michael Vidamo and Sheryl P. Vidamo. He finished his primary education in Imus Pilot Elementary School in Imus, Cavite and secondary education in Imus Institute in Imus, Cavite as well.
He is now taking up Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering in Cavite State University- Main Campus.
This term paper is wholeheartedly dedicated to his parents who have been his inspiration throughout all his endeavours, and to God, who continuously gives him wisdom and strength in his journey in life.
The researcher would like to express and extend his deep gratitude to all the people who offered him support and helped him to complete this term paper. First of all, he would like to thank his parents, Micahel and Sheryl Vidamo for the proper upbringing and love that they showed upon the him. STEEVEN SEAN P. VIDAMO
Technology has been rapidly changing for the past years. Innovations have been made and since then, a demand for a faster and more accurate way to ensure the security of data of corporations and organizations has been increasing. Information systems have contributed and still have been contributing its help in this phenomenon. Without Information systems, collecting, encoding, storing, and processing of data would still be manual up to now.
According to Britannica, Information systems are “integrated sets of components for collecting, storing, and processing of data and for delivering information, knowledge and digital products”. It is used by business firms and other organizations to carry out and manage their operations, interact with their customers and suppliers, and compete in the marketplace. It is used in processing accounts, and managing data in online services. Information systems and Information Management come hand in hand. Wikipedia states that “Information management (IM) is the collection and management of information from one or more sources and the distribution of that information to one or more audiences. This sometimes involves those who have a stake in, or a right to that information. Management means the organization of and control over the planning, structure and organisation, controlling, processing, evaluating and reporting of information activities in order to meet client objectives and to enable corporate functions in the delivery of information”.

Information systems have evolved over the past 50 years. It started in 1960’s when the role of most information systems was simple.
