Explain what you understand   by the term group dynamics and describe its characteristics
A Group is collection of individuals, the members accept a common task, become interdependent in their performance, and interact with one another to promote its accomplishment.
Group dynamics is the study of groups, and also a general term for group processes. A group is two or more individuals who are connected to each other by social relationships. Because they interact and influence each other, groups develop a number of dynamic processes that separate them from a random collection of individuals. Group dynamics exercises develop group cohesiveness and problem-solving skills, and encourage collaboration and creativity.
The theories in support of group dynamics include

   Balance Theory- People who have similar attitudes toward certain objects and goals tend to form a group.
   Exchange Theory- The reward-cost outcomes of interactions serve as the basis for group formation
