An effective and efficient manager must always remember the three (3) roles in which he should play. One of which is Interpersonal. As a manager, he is a figurehead, a leader and a liaison. He always set good example because everybody look up him with great expectations and you cannot allow disappointment. It is in this role that being a manager you must see to it that employees welfare will be given attention because through proper management he can ensure 100% cooperation, participation and even 100% good performance and high production. Another role that is essential is Informative. Monitoring is very important among the members of the organization. As a manager, he should be very sensitive in the sense that if ever he receives variety of feedbacks, information within and outside the organization he must know how to handle may it be negative or positive for the development and understanding of the organizational. It is his direct obligation as a manager to know what is happening in the organization and the whole world as well. He must keep on knowing what is new in the environment through reading and to ensure that his people are doing well is to maintain personal contact and by listening their side. He must be a disseminator. It is his role to call meetings for whatever decision he needs to make for the organization. He see to it that information will be understood by the members. Being a leader, transparency is very important. The last role under the Informational is a spokesperson. A manager must not be secretive, instead, people oriented, open, knows how to transmit information to the outsiders in the organization , plan policies, actions, results and many more. He must have a good public relation to all stakeholders so that in one way or another they can help him achieve the vision, mission, goals and

    I believe a manager should possess 3 basic traits. They are self-awareness, curiosity and independency. Let me elaborate more on this. First and foremost, in order to manage others one must first be able to understand oneself and manage themselves. To understand oneself one must be self-aware. They must know what biases they have so when it comes time to make decisions, they can make a clear concise bias free decision. Also when one is self-aware, they can keep their emotions and feelings out of the equation when deciding. Secondly, a manager should be someone who is curious because curious people will not only look at the surface but also dig deeper into the situation to find out what is actually happening. After looking at a situation from different angles, then they can try new approaches to find out if the real deal is actually what they forecast. Lastly, a manager has to be independent because they are the one who is making the crucial decisions. Many times a manager will listen to others for opinions but the final decision has to have gone through critical thinking and be made solely on the manager’s behalf.…
