"I have allotted fair amount of time to prepare for this film. It is a large commitment for me to give (time) for one project, but the film demands it and I am more than happy to do it. I believe in the director and the film. Through this film we are trying to achieve something that hopefully will be landmark in our cinema,” the actor said.

The movie which is not even in the shooting stage has already created a lot of buzz because of the star cast and also for the fact that this story has been very close to Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s heart. He has been planning to make this movie right after he had made ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’ with Bollywood actors Salman Khan and Aishwary Rai. Bollywood glitz on the red carpet :

Bollywood actress and former Miss World Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who was supposed to walk the red carpet today at the Cannes Film Festival 2014, missed her first appearance because of the delay in the flight in which she was travelling from London to Nice.

Because of the cancellation, her team is making arrangements to fix another date for her appearance at the film festival. She is expected to walk the red carpet with her daughter Aaradhya Bachchan.

Also seen at Cannes was Bollywood actress Mallika Sherawat who walked the red carpet to attend the screening of the Hollywood movie “Grace of Monaco" on the first day of the film festival.

Adding to this, an official delegation from India lead by the Tamil actor-filmmaker Kamal Hassan has inaugurated the India Pavilion at the event on behalf of Ministry of I&B today. The team also released the India Film Guide, an initiative of the I&B ministry to promote India as a filming destination.

The delegation also consisted of Bimal Julka, Secretary, Minsitry of information & Broadcasting, Ramesh Sippy, Sudhir Mishra, Ashok Amritraj, and Arun Kumar Singh, Indian ambassador to France, who were all present at the inaugural of the India Pavilion.

More action to be seen at the Cannes this year because of the international partnerships in distribution, production and filming in India. Also adding excitement to the Cannes heat is the movie Titli, directed by debutant director Kanu Behl, which is in competition at the film festival under the Un Certain category. All fingers crossed for whats going to follow ahead.
