“ Visit a company of your choice and after detail discussion and interviews with the company’s employees and managers, write a report that address culture, structure and motivational theories used in the respective business” Task 1: Compare and contrast different organizational structures and culture that prevail within the different department divisions of the organization you have visited.
The Murree Brewery company was established in 1860 in response to the ever increasing demand for their beer by the personnel of the British Raj, And is currently the oldest continuing enterprise in Pakistan.
The Murree Brewery produces a wide variety of beer’s, Liquor’s and non-alcoholic products, Their premium product include Murree’s Millennium beer, Murree’s Classic beer, Lite export pils, Eight and Ten years old Single Malt Whiskies. Vintage and blend of a Scotch Grain Whisky, Silver Top Gin, Bolskaya Vodka and Doctor’s Brandy.
Tops food and beverages a division of the company was established in 1969. It processes fruit and markets fruit juices and allied food products . Two manufactures are located in Rawalpindi and Hattar (KPK) respectively. A tetra pack packaging facility was added in 2001. The Hattar plant was added in 1992.
The Murree Brewery is one of the oldest companies in the subcontinent, Its shares were traded on the Calcutta stock exchange as early as 1902 and is now the oldest continuing enterprise of Pakistan. In 1997-1998 and 1998-1999 they were judged among the top 25 companies by the Karachi stock exchange.
An organization can be structured in many different ways, which depend on their objectives. The structure of the organization will determine the modes in which it operates and performs. The organizational structure allows the expressed allocation of responsibilities for different responsibilities and allocation entities such as the individual, branch, department and the workgroup.
