Making good choices

Making right choices is crucial for the direction that you want to go in in life, but sometimes it can be very hard to choose the right thing. Sometimes you do not make the right choice and there are consequences for those actions. Before you make a decision about doing something ask yourself a couple of questions. Would I tell my closest friend or relative about it? Will it have consequences? Will it cause harm? Think about what you are doing, before you do it. Whether it is about a relationship, personal issues with family, or even what you are going to have for lunch today. Do not do anything rash without thinking about the results, and planning how you will deal with the results. Some consequences can be severe, but sometimes it's worth it, that's what you have to decide for yourself. Avoid rash decisions. Don't do something out of feelings in the moment, take some time to be sure about what you want, and wait to calm down and relax before you make the final decision and do something about it. It's a good idea to confide in someone and get some opinions on what you could do (ex. Your brother/sister, your bestfriend).

Do not over-think everything. Don't get nervous at small things, that requires small decisions, that will not affect your life further. You should know what is important enough to be thinking well about it. Over-thinking everything can cause stress, which is very bad for you

Trust yourself. Go with your gut, but always think any big and Hucrucial decision through. Have faith in yourself and in your instincts. After all, the only person you can trust to want the best for you is yourself. The choices we make throughout our lives determine our futures but the problem is, that we are not always wise enough now to make the choices we should for the people we want to become.

When we are young and need to make important choices for our financial future, such as which subjects we

“Make mistakes, take chances, be silly, be imperfect, trust yourself and follow your heart.” (Mary Lopez) Something Borrowed, a novel by Emily Giffin expresses the themes of friendship, relationships and the unfairness of life. In the second quarter of the novel, Dex continues to cheat on his fiance, Darcy, with her best friend, Rachel. Dex and Rachel’s feelings grow stronger for one another but Darcy and Dex’s wedding rapidly approaches. There’s no longer much time to put off making the decisions for Dex and Rachel’s future. It’s pretty much now or never. If I were to give advice to any character, it would be Rachel. I would tell her to follow her heart, stick to her values and do what feels right, even if it seems radical or selfish.…

At some point or another in adulthood we are all forced to make decisions that may alter or effect the way we live our lives. Sometimes these decisions are positive other times they are negative. Thought and planning are two of the most important factors that will help determine how things will turn out. I recently was faced with the dilemma of leaving my apartment which my son and I have lived for the past ten years and the two of us moving to a new area and new apartment with my boyfriend. This decision was very difficult for me and required a lot of thinking, time, and tons of both wanted and unwanted advice.…

Life is way too short to sit around thinking about every little thing that could go wrong. To live our lives to the fullest, we must first get rid of that fear. Worrying solves absolutely nothing. You're going to make plenty mistakes, then make the same ones again and a few more times. Life is about growing up and finding who you truly are. There's no rule book or guide to tell us how to get where we want to go. We pretty much milk it the whole way there. You're probably going to feel every emotion there is when it comes to growing older. Sadness, happiness, loneliness, depression, and pretty much anything else you could think of. You also can't spend your life caring what other people think. It's your life, choices and decisions. You're holding the pen to your life story, no one else. Our society has become so judgmental , that we all just need to learn to get used to it. Brush it off your shoulders like a tiny fly. Sometimes things can get really hard, but you have to learn how to overcome it. Where there's a will, there's a way. Just because something isn't happening for you at the moment, doesn't mean it never will. Time heals everything. Things change, people change, feelings change; it's a good thing memories never do. All there is to it, is to not dwell on the past, don't dream of the future, concentrate your mind on the present moment and do what is right for you.…
